The LaCie LaCinema Classic HD has a massive 2TB capacity to store your entire digital media library on-board. The drive supports a huge range of file formats: You can play DivX, MKV, AVC and H.264 video files for example with the optimum in Dolby Digital and DTS HD sound. You can also play MP3, WMA, WAV/PCM/LPCM, AAC, OGG, FLAC, AC3, MP4, MKA music files and display JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF/TIF images. Subtitles are also supported and LaCinema Classic HD will upscale standard definition video to 1080p, enhancing picture quality when connected to a TV via HDMI.
The drive also features UPnP/DLNA capabilities, so it can double up as a versatile media server and stream media to other compatible devices such as PCs, Macs, as well as Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 consoles. Plus there is also a second USB port on the front allowing you to play media from a connected USB key for example.
Designed by Neil Poulton, LaCinema Classic HD is stylish and sophisticated, plus it’s fanless so it’s quiet when in use. The included remote control and easy to navigate on-screen menu system allow you to access your files with ease.
