DVD Discs
DVD Camcorders use 8cm DVDs. There are various formats of recordable 8cm DVDs available.
The following DVD types are all compatible with DVD Camcorders:
- DVD-Ram discs – these are re-recordable, but are not compatible with many DVD players. You do not need, however, to finalise the disc before playing it back.
- DVD-R discs – you can only record once on this format of disc, but the format will work on most DVD players.
- DVD-RW & DVD+RW discs – these discs are re-recordable and will work on most DVD players. Also, with this format, you can perform basic editing of video on some camcorder formats.
