The LUMIX GX1s 16.0-megapixel image sensor is far larger than those found in point-and shoot cameras, while the intuitive automatic shooting modes, including touch Auto Focus (AF), and the full range of advanced features mean you can easily capture your world as you see it, what really sets this camera out from the rest is although it is small enough to fit into a jacket pocket there are no less than 14 interchangeable dedicated lenses available making sure that you will always get the best shot possible.

The DMC-GX1KEB comes compete with the extremely compact 14 42mm (35mm equivalent 28-84mm) lens which even at the tiny size it is, still boasts an optical image stabiliser to make sure that your shots when taken either in low light or when you are using the camera hand held with the lens at maximum zoom, you will still get a judder free shot every time.

The DMC-GX1K1EB also has a Contrast AF system which boasts a much higher accuracy when compared with the Phase difference system AF, especially when shooting with a bright lens with a small F value. Plus the ultra high-speed Light Speed AF has a focus time of approx.0.09 second that has been achieved by reducing the detection time for focusing by synchronising the lens and the sensor at 120 fps. Combine this altogether and focusing of the subject is incredibly easy and quick, plus taking further advantage of Contrast AF, the DMC-GX1 incorporates Full-area focusing capability, just touch the LCD screen where you want to focus and the camera does the rest.

At the other end of the scale the DMC-GX1KEB has a burst mode of up to 20 fps to give you that perfect freeze of the action exactly how you want it, or if a photo is not going to give you what you want the DMC-GX1KEB can shoot Full HD 1920 x 1080 video and has a dedicated HDMI (mini) output so you can playback on to an appropriate HD TV directly from the camera without the need of taking out the memory card.

All of the above and so much more make the DMC-GX1K1EB a fantastic camera, if you want the flexibility of interchangeable lenses but in a compact camera then look no further.
