Canon Speedlite 430EX II - First-rate flash photography with added versatility
The Speedlite 430EX II offers fast, silent recycling, features an in-built wide panel to suit wide angles lenses to 14mm and can be fully controlled using the menu system on a compatible EOS camera.
The one-touch quick release locking mechanism allows you to quickly attach the Speedlite 430EX II to your camera. An improved metal mounting foot with redesigned connection pins ensures reliable communication between the camera and flash.
When used with a compatible EOS camera you can control every single setting on the Speedlite 430EX II using the camera’s menu system.
By transmitting colour information from the flash to the camera, the Speedlite 430EX II can optimise the white balance settings for each and every image. This compensates for changes in white balance that can occur during continuous shooting.
When used with a compatible EOS digital camera, the intelligent flash gun can detect whether the sensor is full frame, APS-C or APS-H. The flash’s zoom position is then automatically adjusted to optimise flash coverage and the charge needed per shot.
The Speedlite 430EX can be used as a slave unit when combined with a master unit in a wireless flash setup. It’s also compatible with the distance-linked E-TTL II system that can found on the more recent EOS cameras.
The Speedlite 430EX II’s head can tilt and swivel for precise positioning. The unit is powered by four AA alkaline or NiMH batteries and this provides approximately 200 to 1400 flashes, depending on the settings. The flash gun is compatible with most Canon EOS SLR and DSLR cameras and Powershot G-series cameras.
If you want to enhance your photography with a versatile flash, the Canon Speedlite 430EX II is the perfect choice.
