Versatile tilt and shift lens designed for architectural photography. The TS-E 17mm f/4L features independent rotation of the tilt and shift mechanisms, low distortion and excellent edge-to-edge sharpness.
The TS-E 17mm f/4L works with both full frame and APS-C sensors. Using a unique rotation system, tilt and shift direction can be rotated independently of each other. This means you can conveniently control perspective and depth of field separately.
The TS-E 17mm f/4L is one of the most flexible lenses on the market. It has a 104° diagonal field of view, ±6.5° of tilt, plus ±12mm shift and ±90° of rotation on both the tilt and the shift mechanisms. As well as locks on the tilt and shift mechanisms to help avoid unwanted movement.
A large diameter moulded glass aspherical lens is used in order to achieve low distortion and exceptional edge-to-edge resolution. While four UD elements help fight against Chromatic aberration, something that’s often found with wide-angle shooting.
The TS-E 17mm f/4L has been designed and tested to withstand use in most environments. With weather and dust seals you can confidently use the lens almost anywhere. The lens is also designed for use in digital photography. Canon’s renowned lens element coating ensures crisp, clear images by reducing the ghosting and flare caused by internal reflection. The lens come with a hood to protect against unwanted light, glare and lens flare and a handy pouch for when the lens is not in use.
One of the finest tilt and shift lenses around, the TS-E 17mm f/4L is a must for architectural photography.
