"High-performance 32" LCD TV that can offer a range of entertainment from various sources"

This thirty-two inch LCD sets the standard in a range of areas. It looks smart and sophisticated, it produces critically-acclaimed Full HD picture quality and allows you to enjoy content from the web, your PC and from USB devices.

At the heart of the KDL-32V5500U is Sony’s brand new Bravia Engine 3. This has been engineered to produce bright, vibrant colours that are true-to life and ensure that your picture has excellent clarity and sharpness and clean images whether you’re watching HD or SD sources.
Live Colour works to boosts certain tones in order to optimise colour reproduction and ensure jaw-dropping colour. You can choose from four Live Colour options (Off, Low, Mid, and High) to best suit what you’re viewing so that you can experience the very best results.
The Advanced Contrast Enhancer adjusts backlighting levels to deliver some of the most impressive and deep blacks found on LCD TVs at this level. This adds a real sense of depth without losing any brightness.
While 24p True Cinema mode ensures the correct number of frames per second and optimal image settings for Blu-ray discs. So you can watch them exactly as the filmmakers intended.

Awarded the EU Flower for being an environmentally friendly product

The KDL-32V5500U has been designed to be as eco-friendly as possible and to help reduce your energy consumption. For example the power saving mode reduces the output of the backlight to save a significant amount of energy. You can also switch the screen off, but continue listening to the audio – ideal if you're listening to mp3s or Freeview radio stations. Another eco-friendly feature is the light sensor that is built-in to the TV. This detects the amount of ambient lighting in your room and automatically adjusts the brightness of the picture to ensure that the screen isn’t overly bright and wasting energy.

The TV features a DNLA certified Ethernet connection that can be used to connect to a compatible PC. You can then stream video, music and photos from your PC at the touch of a button. The connection can also be used to display useful information from the internet via Sony’s AppliCast. This can include RSS newsfeeds from your favourite websites, a range of online photographs and artwork that can be used as screensavers, a world clock and a handy onscreen calculator.

Another useful feature are the Scene select modes. These automatically optimise picture and sound settings to suit a choice of viewing activities including Cinema, Sports and Gaming. These can be accessed just by pressing a button on the TV’s remote control.

With four HDMI connections, the KDL-32V5500U is equipped for HD entertainment from a range of equipment including the Playstation 3, Blu-ray players, home cinema systems and HD camcorders.
The TV also features a USB connection for playing MP3, JPEG and video files from a USB device on the TV.

The KDL-32V5500 is a high-performance TV that can offer a range of entertainment from various sources. It's a must have TV for any living that looks good and that produces equally satisfying image quality.
