The Panasonic Viera TX-P50G30 is a top 50” Plasma TV that delivers great entertainment and that is an ideal choice for film and sport. Standout features include 600Hz Sub-field Drive technology, THX certification, internet content, media streaming and more.

The Panasonic Viera TX-P50G30 features Infinite Black technology which uses an advanced filter and enhanced cell performance to deliver strong, natural, blacks. The technology increases luminous efficiency and minimises electrical pre-discharge to not only produce crisper blacks and improve contrast, but to also save energy as well.

A great choice for film and sport

The Panasonic TX-P50G30 also uses 600Hz Sub-field Drive technology, as well as Intelligent Frame Creation Pro technology to ensure smooth, fluid, on-screen motion. The technologies work with an intelligent algorithm within the picture processing and this chooses the best combination of frames based on motion detection. This results in crisp, clear images when watching sport, films or playing games for example.

With a large 50-inch display and THX Certification, the Panasonic TX-P50G30 is a great choice for home cinema entertainment.  The TX-P50G30 was put through rigorous tests by THX and these confirmed that the TV met a range of criteria including for example, consistent colour and brightness across the screen and satisfactory black levels. The Panasonic TX-P50G30 as with all THX Certified Displays, delivers films exactly as the film makers intended.

The Panasonic Viera TX-P50G30 provides easy access to a world of content from a range of sources. The TV features VIERA Connect, an on-screen portal with a variety of online applications that cover sport, music, catch up TV and social networking such as Facebook. You can even use the TX-P50G30 with Skype and an optional camera (sold separately) and make video calls with your TV! You can also connect the TX-P50G30 to your home network via DLNA and then stream music, videos and photos on to the TV – A great way to enjoy a film stored on your laptop for example. All this can be accessed by connecting the Panasonic TX-P50G30 to a modem or router via Ethernet or wirelessly with an optional USB Wi-Fi dongle (sold separately).

The Viera TX-P50G30 is fully-equipped when it comes to connectivity with three USB connections for example. These USB ports can be used with a number of great features including the option to connect a compatible USB Hard Drive and record programmes on to the hard disk! You can even use the connected hard drive with the TV’s Rew Live TV function and rewind live TV! You can also play a range of media files such as DivX video and mp3 music stored on the hard drive or on a connected USB stick.

Freeview HD Ready

The Panasonic TX-P50G30 has a built-in Freeview HD (DVB-T2) tuner, so you can watch your favourite programmes in the magic of HD for free and without the need for a satellite dish or cable connection. (Freeview HD is only currently available in certain areas of the country)
