SD Cards are a very popular memory card format used in a variety of devices including digital cameras, camcorders, mobile phones and GPS.

SD Cards are available in a number of formats – SD, SDXC, SDHC and Micro SD. Storage capacity and physical size varies between formats. Standard SD Cards are available with storage capacities up to 4GB, while higher-capacity SDXC and SDHC can have storage capacities up to 2TB and 32GB respectively. While Micro SD Cards are smaller physically but can still offer up to 32GB of storage.

Universal SD Cards are also available. These are converter memory cards designed to allow Micro or Mini SD cards to fit in SD card devices.
