Ethernet Cards & Adapters
Two straightforward ways to connect to a local network or the Internet. Using an Ethernet cable is the most reliable and fastest way for your computer to access a network and connect to the Internet.
Not all computers come with an Ethernet connection, however. To overcome this, simply install an Ethernet card into your computer or use an adapter.
Adapters plug in to computer or notebook and the Ethernet cable then plugs in to your adapter. Adaptors can come in USB, PCI, PCMCIA or Compact Flash form.
Ethernet Cards are small internal cards that fit in a PCI slot inside your computer. Once installed, you can connect an Ethernet cable to the card, at the rear of the computer and access the local network and Internet.
