Cables & Connectors
Whether connecting a Printer, External Hard Drive or Camera to your computer, you will almost certainly require a USB cable.
USB cables connect computers to almost all modern devices that can interact with PCs. Printers, Digital Cameras, External Hard Drives, mp3 Players, Mobile Phones… the list goes on. They all generally use a USB cable to connect to the computer.
USB cables can be very useful as not all USB devices come with one.
There are four different USB connector plug formats: A, B, Mini A and Mini B. Computers will almost certainly have connectors for A plugs and, as a result, most USB cables have A plugs at one end.
B connectors are found on the majority of External Hard Drives and Printers. Mini A and B are smaller versions of standard A and B plugs, and the connectors are found mainly in smaller devices like digital cameras, mp3 players and mobile phones.
