The GTM21 combines an integrated FM TMC (Traffic Message Channel) traffic receiver, antenna and cigarette lighter adapter. It receives digital information on any obstructions on your route and sends it to your Garmin device to offer an alternate route. TMC is available in a growing number of cities throughout Europe and provides accurate, rapid notifications about accidents, road works and police or emergency services activities for example.
TMC traffic broadcasts are continuous so there is no waiting for updates. So you can be aware of delays as they happen and so plan ahead.
TMC broadcasts are received via a "silent" FM data channel, so you can listen to your standard car radio without any interference from incoming FM traffic data transmissions.
Simply connect the GTM21 to your Garmin Sat Nav and car cigarette lighter and use the suction cups to attach the antenna to your vehicle's windshield and you’re ready receive data – No installation is required at all! The GTM21's cigarette lighter adapter also powers your Sat Nav too!
