Choosing & Paying For An Item
Where can I find more information about a product (eg. dimensions)?
Detailed information is provided under the Specifications tab on each product page. If you have any further questions about a product, you can send us a message on the Contact Us page – our Customer Services Team will be happy to answer your queries.
Can I amend or change my order?
We attempt to dispatch orders as quickly as possible. If you need to make changes to your order, please contact our Customer Services Team directly and we will endeavour to meet your requests.
Can you do a better price?
The prices that we have listed on our website are the most competitive. We work hard to bring our customers the lowest possible prices by negotiating the best deals with our suppliers. If you shop around and find a better price, please contact our Customer Services Team to see if we can match or better it.
How do I make a purchase?
Once you’ve selected an item to buy, simply click the ‘Add To Basket’ button next to the item and it will be placed into your shopping cart. You can then either continue shopping and adding more items to your cart, or click on 'View Basket' to check the contents.
When viewing the contents of your shopping cart, you might see some suggestions of useful accessories to go with your purchase, for example a wall mount to go with your new TV. On this page you can also choose a delivery service.
Once you’ve finished shopping and have selected a delivery service, click on 'Go to Checkout'. Enter your billing and delivery addresses, click on 'Next Step' and review your order. When you finish reviewing the order, select 'Next Step' to progress to payment. For credit card payments, your card will not be charged until you reach the final page and click ‘Place Order Now’.
How do I enter a 'Promo Code'?
When making your purchase, you will see an option for ‘Promo Code’ on the Checkout page. Simply enter your code in the required field and this will be applied to your purchase. Please note that your promo code cannot be used in our store.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard and PayPal. Please contact our Customer Services Team if you experience any issues making a payment for your order.
Is it safe to make a purchase on your website with my credit card?
AskDirect is a secure, VeriSign-trusted website. All of your private data is encrypted prior to transmission, and all transactions are processed securely using SSL technology.
You also have the option of paying for your items using PayPal if you choose.
Do you offer lay-by or finance on your products?
All products must be paid for in full at the time your order is placed.
Will I get an invoice with my purchase?
Yes. As soon as your order is placed, an invoice will be sent as an attachment with your Order Confirmation email to the email address that you provide.
How do I find out the delivery cost for my order?
Your delivery charge will be calculated automatically. For further information on our delivery charges please see the Delivery Information page.
How long after placing my order can I expect delivery?
Orders are generally shipped the next working day and delivered within 3 working days of dispatch. You will receive an email once your item has been shipped, containing delivery details.
Can I schedule a day or time for delivery?
Our carriers deliver between 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. At the moment it is not possible to schedule an exact time or day for delivery. If you’re not at home when the courier arrives, a calling card will be left.
Can you deliver to a PO box or BFPO?
Unfortunately, delivery to a PO Box or BFPO is not available.
Can I be informed when my item is shipped so that I can be at home for delivery?
When your item is shipped, you will be sent a confirmation email with your unique tracking number (where available) and the courier’s contact details. Our couriers will provide an estimated arrival date but cannot provide a specific time, or phone you prior to delivery.
Do I need to sign for my delivery?
All of our courier-delivered orders require a signature upon delivery.
What happens if no one is home?
If you are not at home, a calling card will be left for you to rebook the delivery.
Can you deliver on weekends?
Our couriers deliver from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
What if an item is lost or damaged during delivery?
All of our products are sent using the most reliable courier and freight services available. In the unlikely event that your order is lost or damaged, we will always help to rectify the situation, including issuing you a replacement at no additional cost.
Can I pick up my item in person?
We have a store in central London where you can pick up your online purchase. Enter the store address as your delivery address when placing your order and we will have it ready for you to collect:

Please note that when picking up your item you must bring the payment card used to make the purchase and a photo ID, as we cannot release the order to a third party.

Can I exchange an item? What if I don’t like my purchase?
We offer a 14 Day Money Back Guarantee on all of our products. If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 14 days of taking delivery, and we will help you to organise the return of the product. You can then receive either an exchange or a refund of the product’s purchase price (excluding initial delivery charges).

Do you offer extended warranties on your products?
Most of our products come with a minimum 12 month warranty that covers manufacturers’ faults. For the majority of our products there is the option of extending the warranty for a further period.
